Hoyt Corkins, formerly of Alabama and now of Las Vegas, can be seen at more than one final table during World Poker Tour’s second season on the Travel Channel. When he bested elite player Phil Hellmuth, Jr. to win the Foxwoods World Poker Tour finals, Hellmuth handed him the nickname Mr. All-In. But “Comeback Kid” might be more apt: Corkins has kept a relatively low profile since his 1992 World Championship in the Pot Limit Omaha event, but he has re-emerged onto the scene to concentrate on playing in the World Poker Tour and what he calls the glamour game – Texas Hold’Em.His aggressive style of play also got him to the final table of the Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure recently, despite the fact that he was suffering from the flu during the cruise.Corkins is said to have sixty head of cattle at home.
