IGT Signs Games and Systems Agreement With University of Iceland Lottery

LAS VEGAS, June 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- International Game Technology (NYSE: IGT), a global leader in creating the games players love and network systems that improve the player experience, announced today the Company has signed an extension on its contract with the University of Iceland Lottery. This agreement includes the placement of 190 of IGT's new MLD® video slot games, installing IGT Casinolink® as the casino management system and implementation of EZ Pay®. The new contract, signed in April 2010, provides for continuing collaboration between the University of Iceland Lottery and IGT through Oct 1, 2018.

The partnership with IGT began in December 1993 when the University of Iceland Lottery received its authorization to operate Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs) and use the revenues for the expansion and renovation of the University's campus. With this initial contract, IGT installed its Megabucks® system as the central VLT server and delivered 250 IGT gaming terminals, mainly installed in bars, taverns and arcades all over Iceland. Today, the University of Iceland Lottery operates 470 IGT gaming terminals located in approximately 40 locations. The 190 new MLD® games will replace existing IGT Game King® 80960 machines and the IGT Casinolink® system will replace the current Megabucks® central system.

The new MLD® machines introduced to this market will be the upright S MLD® model featuring dynamic buttons and ticket-in/ticket-out. These machines bring the latest features and functionalities to the market including multi-game capability, ability to switch between video slots to 3-, 4- or 5-video reel games, fully equipped for server-based gaming and unparalleled 3D game graphics.

The IGT Casinolink® system will replace the existing Megabucks® central system offering a full array of functionalities including multi-site accounting capabilities, robust reporting, ticket-in/ticket-out and player tracking functionality.
